The map shows restaurants nearby. The chat shows today's special. And if a place around the corner has an offer right now, you hear about it — before you walk past.
It’s half past eleven. There are three of you at the office, or you are standing on the street by yourself. Someone says “let’s do lunch”. Then it takes twenty minutes to land in the same place as last week — not because there is nothing else, but because the menu is in a PDF, on a site that was not updated, or in a post from Monday.
What you actually want to know is three things: what is nearby, what they are serving today, and whether anyone has an offer right now.
Today’s special, in the chat
Every restaurant in tojo has a chat tied to the place. That is where the week’s lunch, today’s special and a link to the site show up — so you do not have to hunt. Not a review from 2019. What applies this week, this day.

Lunch around the corner
Some places have a set lunch. Others change the dish every day. Either way, the answer should be in the chat when you ask “what are they serving today?” — not three taps away in a weekly PDF that is unreadable on a phone.
The distance is in the chat. Three hundred metres. Seven hundred metres. That is the information that decides whether you put your jacket on.
When someone has an offer
The lunch price is one thing. An offer is another: extra off, after work, today’s special at a different price. If a lunch restaurant nearby has something right now, it shows up in tojo, and you can get a notification — so you do not walk past without knowing.
The offer is visible for as long as it lasts. Then it disappears. Same as lunch.
How we think about this with tojo
tojo is not another restaurant app with stars and filters. It is the chat for the place. You see what is nearby, you read what they are serving today, and you can ask “is there a table?” while you are two streets away.
