Skatås motionscentrum

Skatås sports and recreation centre is located between Härlanda tjärn and Delsjön and is one of Gothenburg’s best-known places for exercise and outdoor recreation. Locals come here year-round for running, walking, gym workouts, group training and outdoor activities. Around the centre, you’ll find several tracks and trails for both shorter workouts and longer outings. There are illuminated running tracks of 2.5, 5 and 8 kilometres, as well as 10- and 18-kilometre terrain tracks, walking routes, hiking trails and orienteering opportunities in the Delsjön area. Skatås is also a good choice if you want to do more than run: The area has an outdoor gym, beach volleyball and disc golf, while indoors there is a gym and group training. If you train outdoors, you can buy an exercise card that gives you access to changing rooms, showers, sauna and cold pool. For children, young people and beginners, Skatås Flowtrail offers a purpose-built mountain bike trail close to the centre. Some equipment can also be rented at reception, including walking poles, a jogging stroller, headlamp and TRX straps. With its location by the Delsjön area, Skatås is a natural starting point for anyone who wants to get moving close to the city – whether you are planning a quick lunchtime workout, a long forest run or a relaxed walk followed by fika.
