At The Maritime Museum and Aquarium you’ll find adventurous stories, fantastic objects and exhibitions for all ages. The aquariums offer exciting underwater worlds with seaweed forests, fish and a living coral reef. Explore the mighty world ocean in the Ocean Planet exhibition and meet the people who have sailed the seas for centuries in Sea of Stories. The museum’s children’s exhibitions offer imaginative spaces for kids and their grown-ups to explore the ocean together. Visit also the museum shop for unique maritime souvenirs with a Gothenburg connection, and refuel at the museum’s café with delicious seasonal food and pastries. In 2024, the Maritime Museum and Aquarium was named Museum of the Year by the Swedish Museums Association and ICOM Sweden
