Medicinhistoriska museet
From the first hospital and the will of Sahlgren, through transformative medical successes to the expansive construction project of the post-war era. Personal stories and life destiny and unique objects provide insight into the human views of different times, methods of treatment and life conditions. The exhibition follows some of the health care professions and places throughout history. It demonstrates the efforts of Gothenburg as a city and Sweden as a country to develop and improve the health of the population. The exhibition describes not only the history of medicine in Gothenburg, but also the development of international medicine and Swedish society.
