Göteborgs Stadsmuseum
At the City Museum of Gothenburg, you can follow the history of Gothenburg from a fortified city in the 17th century, via the new ideas of the 18th century and the growth of the 19th century to a modern industrial and port city. There is also Sweden’s only exhibited Viking ship, the Desert Ship. The museum is housed in the enriched East India house from the 18th century. A Children’s Museum is also available for children and their adults.
